In 2016 ŽOS Trnava, a. s. has invested into development of a new production hall for assembly and repairs of electric multiple units as well as into technological equipment for carrying out the repairs of units. Activities in this hall are organised on three mounting rails and on a rail equiped with electrical test room that is enabling testing and AC voltage measurement power supply from trolley lines with parameters 25 kV 50 Hz with the power of 400 kW or along with AC voltage power supply from ongoing high voltage head-end power with parameters 3kV, 1,5 kV, 1kV 50 Hz, 1kV 16 2/3 Hz, with the performance of 100 kW. The separate electrical test room is placed in the neighbourhood of the hall, which enables carrying out the tests and DC power measurements from trolley power line with the parameters of 3 kV and 1,5 kV DC with the performance of 400 kW. Both test rooms have the ability to fluently regulate the output voltage.
Nowadays, ŽOS Trnava a. s. is able to realise complex repairs including surface treatment, vehicles weighing, drive repairs, repairs of brake equipment and other components of the units according to maintenance regulations and documentation from producers.
The company has realised the mounting of embedded wagons of 071 series of electrical units for Škoda Vagonka, a. s., repairs of electric multiple units of 671 series in the range PVY for Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko, a. s. (slovak railway carrier) and is in final stage of preparation for assembling, connecting and unit tests for units 660 and 661 series in cooperation with Škoda Transportation, a. s. for Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko, a. s.
